Most people today already know that cleansing the colon has great benefits especially when it comes to dealing with problems that come together with a clogged colon. A clogged colon is a problem that must never be underestimated. In this post I will tell you some simple techniques, that you will be able to use to make a homemade colon cleanse.

A clean colon is vital for a healthy live. This is something that even the traditional hinduism teaches. The hinduism medicine is called Ayurweda and is specialised on colon issues. Making use of the dietry teachings that it provides, will essentially help you to cleanse your colon effectively and achieve a healthy body. Though Ayurveda also contains active practices, the dietry ideals that it teaches are the best method to keep the colon healthy. Those dietry teachings are what I’m going to discuss in this post. Colon

The purpose of Ayurweda is to prevent dangerous diseases by understanding them and by understanding, what part of the body is being affected first. Did you know, that the colon is probably the most sensitive part of the human body? Most of all the other functions of the body are being affected by the colon, even the mood. This means that having a healthy colon is vital for feeling good. And here is where a colon cleanse comes into play.

The most essential teachings of Ayurweda are:

  • Eat only when you are hungry.
  • Don’t eat between the meals.
  • The main meal is being taken for lunch.
  • Don’t eat when you are nervous.
  • Keep a break of at leat three hours between the meals.
  • Don’t eat your absolute fill.
  • Eat fresh food.
  • Drink water and warm herbal tea
  • All five tastes should be contained in a meal.

In the Ayurweda teachings food is being categorized in different categories:

  1. Sattva-Guna – Milk products, cereals, fruit and vegetables. Those foods are told to have a pleasing effect on the body. Consuming those foods can increase lifetime.
  2. Rajo Guna - Too salty, bitter, hot or dry food that causes the body to overreact and cause aggression. Examples are Chili, Onion, alcohol and garlic if consumed on a regular basis and in high amounts.
  3. Tamo-Guna – Overripe and addle food, as well as drugs.

You can achieve the best effect on your colon if you try to eat as much food from the first category as possible and avoid the third category. The second category can be enjoyed but only in a reasonable amount. Sticking to this plan will help you cleanse your colon effectively and from home!
